Venus (Shukra) is the planet of love, romance, and physical attraction. Rahu and Ketu are the shadow planets of obsession, illusion, and extremes.
When Venus sits with either Rahu or Ketu in a birth chart, the person's romantic life becomes chaotic and extreme. Lal Kitab poetically says they have "flown many kites of love" ("ishq ki patange").
They will fall in love quickly, obsess over the person (Rahu's illusion), and then just as quickly, the string of the kite will break (Ketu's detachment), and they will move on to the next affair. They are constantly chasing the high of new romance, leaving a trail of broken relationships behind them.
